MY JOURNEY TO WELLNESS
In 2013, I was bedridden and suicidal.
Due to unresolved childhood trauma (abuse, neglect, homelessness, poverty, etc.), I was constantly hijacked by my nervous system.
It was diagnosed as chronic mental illness: Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), depression, insomnia, and more.
Eventually, it manifested into chronic physical illness: migraines, fibromyalgia/inflammation, adrenal insufficiency, chronic fatigue, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), hormonal imbalances (estrogen dominance, high androgens, etc.), insulin resistance/pre-diabetes, hypothyroidism, high cholesterol, high liver enzymes, IBS/digestive issues, food sensitivities, obesity (80 lbs heavier), and more.
Even after 9 years of talk therapy, I still had unresolved childhood trauma.
In 2012/13 I saw a psychiatrist, psychologist, acupuncturist, chiropractor, massage therapist, and naturopath WEEKLY, yet still ended up bedridden and suicidal.
I felt BROKEN.
Over the last decade, I have been on a journey of self-discovery. In search of answers to the root of the issues, I discovered the true cause; a chronically dysregulated nervous system, AKA perpetual survival mode.
Through modalities like breathwork, somatic practices, mindfulness exercises, sound and vibration therapy (HADO), meditation, EFT (Tapping), and more, I have moved beyond chronic survival mode and improved every aspect of my body, mind, and life.
